• François oversees CGI’s operations in Canada, U.S. Commercial and State Government, Asia Pacific Global Delivery Centers of Excellence, and Global IP Solutions. François is a part of CGI’s Executive Management Committee, which oversees the implementation of the company’s enterprise-wide strategy. In addition, François continues to lead CGI’s Global CIO function, which is responsible for CGI’s digital strategy.

These functions include internal audit, investment management, procurement, real estate and corporate social responsibility, one of CGI’s long-held core values.

• From 2006 to 2014, Francois served as Senior Vice-President and Corporate Controller of CGI. As such, he was responsible for maintaining a foundation of control and accountability for the business, including Finance control frameworks as well as statutory and corporate filings such as tax and statutory financial statements. He also assumed financial leadership of the budgeting and forecast processes and supported internal and external audit teams
• In addition, François was actively involved in the integration of various accounting systems of companies that merged with CGI. Following the merger with Logica in 2012, François and his team played a pivotal role in consolidating several established teams in different countries and integrating 28 accounting systems into one—all in record time.

• Francois successfully led a number of major strategic initiatives as Vice-President of Shared Services from 2001 to 2006, including building a global end-to-end shared services organization for finance that led to more control and visibility across the business, reduction of transactional costs and overall efficiency improvements.
• Francois was also responsible for laying the foundation for CGI’s financial management environment and overseeing the smooth integration of several large mergers and acquisitions into CGI’s financial sytems.
