This line captures the start of Gaurav Bhand’s journey. Most people meet him and think he is a regular guy, but when you spend a little time with him you notice there is more to his story. As a kid he was curious and always trying something new, pulling small pranks here and there, never too serious, just enough to make school fun, and since he was good at studies he stayed far away from the Principal’s office. When he moved into college life he went for Bachelor of Computer Applications because tech made sense to him and coding and logic felt clear. While learning all this he slowly realised he enjoyed creative thinking even more and he liked observing how people react to content and how brands speak to their audience. This is when marketing quietly entered his life and it started with him making memes for fun, and without planning anything he began enjoying the process of understanding how content works. One thing led to another and soon he found himself working on campaigns for Myntra and Cadbury which was a big shift from fun memes to real brand projects. This experience encouraged him to go deeper so he completed his Masters in Marketing. During this time he also stepped into the world of product where he learned how products are planned, shaped, positioned and launched. He explored user research and competitor study and worked with tech teams to map user journeys and help shape features that solve real problems. Today he has worked in telecom, tech and startup environments and has experience in digital campaigns, content, product marketing and product projects. He enjoys roles that allow him to mix creativity, logic and a bit of fun because that balance feels natural to him. For Gaurav, marketing is about connecting with people and product is about creating something they care about, and he likes being involved in both.
