• At Solv I'm helping to build our consumer products.
• I've worked all across the tech stack and our different services, but most of my time is spent with JavaScript. Over the years I've focused on improving and modernizing our website infrastructure (bundler configuration with Webpack, test suites with Cypress and Jest + Enzyme, deployment pipeline with Travis, Github, Heroku) and building a number of new product features, such as insurance upload, new provider pages, a new authentication system, and some more.
• Lately, my focus has been more on the mobile side of things where I've lead the efforts to build our first version of the Solv PWA for Android and more recently the first version of the Solv iOS app, using React Native.

• Built one of the first microservices within the frontend organization to start breaking away from the frontend monolith: worked with Python and GUnicorn, using the Flask framework, Nginx, Upstart, Packer, Jenkins, AWS EC2, Cloudwatch, Sentry.
• Built a microservice fetching data and serving it to the frontend app using AWS API Gateway, Lambda and Nodejs.
• Co-architected and contributed significantly to the responsive redesign of Trulia.com property pages
• Added performance improvements to the page which contributed significantly to make the user experience acceptable on mobile networks. In particular: critical CSS workflow, lazy webfont loading

• Introduced React to the tech stack of the team I was working on, rewriting the core of our frontend components from Backbone.js
• Lead the effort to modularize and reuse the code for the "save home" functionality, working with NPM modules and contributing to the internal styleguide library base components
• Contributed to the design and implementation of the PHP API used to retrieve and store saved properties information

• Joined the platform team that was building the new mobile website stack, and spent the following 2 years with this group, creating incredible memories
• Built a Node.js based web application, which was using one of the first javascript-powered server-side-rendering libraries, "Rendrjs" open sourced by Airbnb
• Contributed to Rendrjs open source project on GitHub https://github.com/rendrjs/rendr
• Worked on several components of the platform, in particular building the photo player with capabilities to detect screen size and screen orientation, with cross browser support, was a really fun challenge
• Learnt what a Service Oriented Architecture is like, as we decided to start building API to provide data to our mobile web client, while breaking away from the desktop's website monolithic codebase
• This new architecture for m.trulia.com ended up performing great, beating even the more optimistic expectations, and about 1 year after launch it was handling more than half of Trulia's web traffic
• Had an incredible amount of fun working on the mobile website with such a talented group of people!

• I worked as a backend and frontend developer for the web application Kunerango and as a community manager in charge for user requests and public relations as well.
• The stack I've been working on was mainly based on Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3.
• I took part since January 2013 in a six months campus named H-Camp, after the project received a first seed of investment from the italian venture incubator H-Farm Ventures.
