Worked on Ansys Fluent Product especially Fluids One Mobile App.
Techchnology : React Native, Javascript, React etc.
Responsibilities:
1) To segregate web code into generalized JavaScript modules and web-specific layers using OOP principles like inheritance and abstraction to maximize reusability (e.g., fluent-plugins, fluid-elements, graphics-plugin).
2) To develop code modules that ensure: Cross-Platform Compatibility(IOS + Android), User-Centric Design, Lightweight & Responsive, Modular Architecture.
3) To integrate the Fluids one App to Same backend endpoints as of Fluent Web.
4) To debug and troubleshooting issues across the app to ensure smooth performance.
Challanges:
1) Cross Platform compatibility of each feature across IOS and Android to serve consistent performance and UI behavior.
2) Refactoring Web-Centric Code which assumed a browser environment (e.g., use of DOM events, local/session storage).
3) Aligning the mobile app with the same backend services used by Fluent Web. Resolving API compatibility issues and ensuring consistent data handling. (Object editor panels in mobile)
4) Application testing challenges through emulator. (Ansys doesn’t allows external devices to communicate with Fluent server.)
Learnings:
1) Architectural Design Principles & Patterns from experienced developers at Ansys.
Improved communication, code review, and branching practices in a multi-team, enterprise-level environment.
2) Understood how to abstract platform-specific logic and create a unified component structure for both web and mobile.
