  • This is an ambitious project to develop an in-house platform to solve the growing volumes and complexities of the intercompany accounting requirements, a global solution with local requirements, and a solution that will scale at the speed and flexibility demanded by Uber.
  • Phase 1 of the project alone will save approx 130 hrs on a monthly basis. With more than 45k hours invested in intense UAT sessions, that took place over 3 continents, involved 26 people, and lots of late nights and early mornings, we persevered through difficulties, we lived up to Uber's cultural ideals of valuing ideas over hierarchy, and each and every member of the team acted like owners and made vital contributions.
  • Manual Workbench
  • Developed a SOX Compliant system for the business to load manual transactions into GL and AGIS. Owned the design and development of the project from build to delivery. Total 10k+ transactions being loaded into WB on a monthly basis in under 15 minutes.
  • Reclass Calculation Engine
  • Moved the business from the manual process of reclassing accounts to an automated system.
  • Developed the calculation engine in reclass which takes in the custom rules defined by business, parses it, and creates journals. Implemented Approval WF mechanism to transfer the transactions created. Total savings of 10 hrs on a monthly basis.
