Indrakant D. — Product Manager
Hello there, Thanks for visiting my profile! I hope you're staying hydrated and feeling healthy. Here's a short bio about me: I am currently a grad student at Stony Brook University, pursuing my Masters in Computer Engineering. As an experienced software engineer, I have a strong focus in building scalable software applications. Along with that, I’ve taken advanced coursework in Computer Vision, Stochastic Systems, and VLSI Design, recently adding Operating Systems and Parallel and Distributed Systems Routing - strengthening my foundation in AI, digital systems, and scalable infrastructure. Past experiences: Throughout my journey, I’ve worked at fast-paced startups where I wore multiple hats - from building scalable web products to managing infrastructure, deployment workflows, and performance monitoring. My experience initially grew from full-stack (MERN) development, but over time expanded to include DevOps practices, observability tooling (Prometheus, Docker, Kubernetes), and AWS-based cloud services - especially in the context of product lifecycle and system reliability. I'm also well-versed in unit and integration testing, ensuring the delivery of robust and reliable software solutions. Interests: I’m particularly interested in engineering core systems that power intelligent applications, with a focus on product creation from the ground up. I enjoy building things that work well under the hood, whether it’s an internal platform, distributed backend service, or robust CI/CD pipeline. Achievements: Outside of class and work, I’m passionate about algorithms and competitive programming (600+ LeetCode problems), and have been fortunate to win some incredible hackathons like the Smart India Hackathon 2022 and UNESCO India-Africa Hackathon, where we were felicitated by the Vice President of India and 22+ African delegates. I’ve also mentored students in DSA and web development, and occasionally enjoy writing about what I learn along the way. Current: I am currently open to exploring new opportunities in the field of Software/Systems Engineering, specifically roles related development, product and research. Let's connect!
