Ever wonder why it seems like some designers are just looked to as the “subject matter expert,” full of trust and respect and while others are just stuck doing execution work? That’s didn’t happen by accident, that’s by design. These are the skills I teach at Dark UX Academy. A little about me I’m a Design Leader based in Los Angeles. I’m passionate about the intersection of design, influence, and impact. My work focuses on not just making things look good, but also it’s about driving business growth, shaping user behavior, and creating experiences that solve real problems. I’ve been working for over 18+ years. I’ve led design teams and helped launch products at Disney, Live Nation, FabFitFun, and multiple startups across technology, entertainment, and advertising. Currently, I lead the Product Design team at Sony under Crunchyroll, where we craft world-class experiences for 17MM active paid subscribers and anime fans worldwide. I’m also one of 1,000 designers globally to earn an NN/g UX Master Certification. My real expertise lies in helping teams bridge the gap between design and business strategy.
