• I rewrite copies produced by the technology and emerging business verticals as well as bureaus in South India (Chennai, Hyderabad and Kochi). Between January 2013 and July 2013 I took on additional role of acting chief of bureau in Chennai. I have written several articles, including an opinion piece in the Editorial pages.
• I help bring out the "Power of Ideas" page every Friday. I mentor reporters who work in the south and closely monitor their development.

• My responsibilities included editing, guiding junior members of the team, anchoring stories, organising copy flow as well as giving inputs for graphics, pictures and story ideas. I handled the work flow, ensuring that reporters send their stories on time. I took part in a leadership training programme organised by Forbes.

• I edited stories across markets and asset classes, including equity, bonds, commodities and forex. The job involved heavy rewriting, adding context, guiding and coaching reporters and news planning. During a crisis in the Mumbai bureau, I handled international filing and editing responsibilities there alone for nearly a month.
• I was head of the mentoring team in Bangalore and also part of the founding team for sending out alerts.
• I helped conduct a Reuters Business course at the Asian College of Journalism in Chennai.

• I edited and designed the Editorial and Opinion pages. I was involved in news planning, contacting specialists for opinion pieces and articles on topical issues.
• I was involved in the redesign of the content and format for the editorial and opinion pages.
• I helped bring out a special investment supplement, Investment World, on Sundays, coordinating with senior researchers.
