My team is responsible for building and running multiple kotlin backend services that require a 24/7 support roster and availability and reliability SLOs of 99.95%. We not only provide public APIs to customers and partners to create integrations with Jira Software around DevOps data as such as development information, builds and deployment, but we also back a variety of core features in Jira Software like the Development and Releases panel in the Jira Issue view, the Code in Jira page and the Deployments page and other products as the Incidents investigation view in Opsgenie.
I'm accountable for the teams' health having a track record of indexes like drivers of work happiness, team effectiveness and individual wellbeing at 100% over the last year, and I'm also accountable for delivery. I'm responsible for hiring, people's performance reviews and growth plans, stakeholder management, backlog prioritisation and quarterly planning, effectiveness and improvement of the development process.
I'm still a hands-on engineer coding out of the critical path whenever possible, designing big architectural changes in partnership with other engineers and being on-call. A part from that I'm part of the management interviewers pool and mentor in the Atlassian's women leadership program.
