My background as a software engineer has provided me with a deep understanding of technical challenges and the ability to guide my teams through complex projects. My development and leadership styles are quite similar. I like to keep things simple, stay agile and responsive, so I can meet requirements quickly. I tend to design and plan my way to avoid “big-bang” deliveries, preferring an incremental approach with an element of fail-fast. As a Software Architect with over 8+ years of experience in the software development industry, I have successfully designed systems that are highly available, scalable and reliable systems. Recent exposure to the new problems in Platform Team, complex systems that need solutions at scale and Automation helped me to acquire new and creative ways of looking at the problem and design systems that are highly efficient, reliable, scalable. Being part of the Platform Team at Uber posed new challenges and demands a high bar to design systems that are complex, scalable, reliable, highly resilient, highly available and fault tolerant considering failover, fallback and risk mitigation. I have cultivated a new art of seeing the problem in the lens of Automation, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, with the help of them we could push the boundaries and generate complex products and systems. Wearing multiple hats of Engineering Manager, Architect and Technical Lead helped me to look at the problem with different lenses.
