• User and Onboarding in PhonePe:
• End-to-End KYC Process: Managed the complete end-to-end KYC process for users, ensuring a seamless execution and launch without any serious issues.
• Collaboration: Worked directly with operations, product teams, and third-party partners to accelerate the development and release of projects and products.
• Designed libraries in PhonePe that are generic libraries designed to enhance scalability, stability, and sustainability.
• Maintains a database snapshot, essentially acting as a replica.
• Supports fast initial loading of cache data, improving startup times.
• Reduces heap memory usage, and consequently garbage collection (GC), from 3-4 GB to 150-200 MB with optimizations on DB used.
• Supports secondary indices (updated atomically), range queries, and prefix scans.
• Performance Metrics:
• Operations are executed in 0.003 - 0.005 milliseconds, comparable to in-memory map performance.
• CPU usage reduced from 50% to a peak of 20%.
• Handles 10 million records with an average size of 200 MB per record in approximately 1 minute.
• These features contribute to significant improvements in performance and efficiency.
