• Risk Salon is a collaborative forum for Bay Area Tech companies to share ideas and expertise on how to fight fraud. I was the founding member of the organization and of the annual conference Deflect with 400+ attendees. Organized monthly meetups for risk and fraud professionals in the Bay Area with tech companies as sponsors. I led the design efforts for annual to develop Risk Salon's and Deflect's brand identity and manager a group of 15+ volunteers for the conference 2 years in a row.

• Fully developed Trip Collaboration Feature on Android. Trip Collaboration allows users to collaborate on Wish Lists with their friends, comment on selected listings, query the price and availability for all listings in the Wish List. Feature was launched in January. In 2016 17% of new users are predicted to register on Airbnb through Trip Collaboration.
• Architected and implemented the API for Trip Collaboration in Ruby on Rails using internal API framework Restore. The API supports Web, iOS, and Android.
• Lead development of an internal Phabricator integration with Slack. All Phabricator notifications are now available on a separate internal Slack channel. Increased team’s efficiency by 20%.
• Implemented an Android photo sharing feature, allowing users to share photos of a listing through various channels. The feature increased total listing’s shares by 8%.

• Developed and launched a full redesign of the main navigation menu for the Yelp mobile app; this was the biggest overhaul in user experience for the Yelp Android app since it launched in 2009.
• Increased the amount of daily contributions, such as reviews, tips, media content to the app through the navigation drawer redesign.
• Added material design elements throughout the app, including a UI redesign of search across the application. This redesign received very positive feedback from both users (Twitter) as well as Android bloggers (Android Police).
• Implemented a delightful feature for the new navigation (the slide menu) - an animated dinosaur.

• Implemented a photo/video uploader to a business’ Yelp profile, leveraging the device’s location to present the user a list of nearby businesses in which to associate the photo/video, this significantly increased media uploads.
• Improved the way users are prompted to rate Yelp’s app in the App Store on iOS, as well as the user interface of the prompt on Android, which led to an increase in reviews on iOS and an increase in the review rating on Android.
• Organized a biweekly engineering lunch at Yelp, to encourage engineers from various departments to eat lunch together, communicate, and collaborate. This increased cross group communication and reinforced Yelp’s culture and values.
