• I worked on a web based product for better managing network devices like switches, routers and gateways of various manufactures like Cisco, etc.
• I worked on various modules like thread scheduling, command execution and dynamic logging.
• Thread scheduling : The devices need to regularly polled for getting live data about the devices and also sending new data to the devices. Furthermore, the devices were also divided into various groups, thereby making the scheduling process more complex. Moreover, the scheduling activity was completely dynamic in nature with polling interval being modified and the devices in the group being altered. Thread scheduling was mostly a backend process with some role in the front end as well.
• CLI execution: CLI execution is a critical feature needed to diagnose and configure a network device. The application had a ping and trace tool. However, a complete set of CLI execution feature was missing. I worked on providing the user to fire CLI on a selected devices and also show the result of CLI execution. The module had a good mix of front end, showing the user the list of command and their output with the back end task of firing the commands via PERL scripts.

• I was first trained in Mobile Application development - Windows Phone 7. I was given simple application to write on my own and build it up. I wrote a simple application to scan the news feed xml document and display it as a news reader application.
• Soon after that, I was shifted to Android. I was assigned to learn the basic constructs in Android. I developed the Remote Profile Changer to further advance the understanding of the Android platform as a whole.

InfoXpression is the annual festival of the School of Information Technology, GGS Indraprastha University. It is a three-day extravaganza that is a brilliant fusion of technical erudition and cultural events that brings together participants from all over the country.
