About

I started Outscal about 5 years ago to help people break into the gaming industry. We built courses, mentorship programs, and a job portal that connects developers with studios like Ubisoft, Rockstar, EA, and others. Over time, we have grown to 12000+ game builders on Discord and partnered with 120+ studios. It's been a good run. Lately, I have been working on something new. We kept running into the same problem with the content, scripts and ideas that should have become videos but never did because production was taking too long and was too exhausting. So we started building an internal Gen AI tool that takes a script and turns it into a ready-to-publish video. No editing, no post production and no back and forth for days. It's still early and we are figuring things out, but the results have been interesting. I have been posting some of the outputs on my feed if you want to see what it looks like. If you are a content creator, educator or just someone who has been frustrated with how complicated video creation is, feel free to connect Happy to show you what we are building.

  • I was in charge of re-designing a complete new system for generation to user management of 100 plus reports that the Compliance Development team generated from their legacy Perl infrastructure. This task required a thorough understanding of the data sets involved in the process of generation of these reports and coming up with a strategy and a data set to bundle them together into one cohesive unit.
  • This major undertaking was a big leap forward for the team since that would mean a more productive environment for the developers to work on and a much more transparent systems from the end customers of these reports. This project involved in not only coming up with extensive design for the database to house all this data but also the designing a complete end to end solution with web interfaces to backend processing and number crunching of the data required on a per report basis.

  • My core responsibility during during my first year of stay was to understand the technology and the core business domain requirement while providing not only the day to day support but also contributing to active development of software solutions monitoring D.E.Shaw's trading activities across all possible stock exchanges. I was soon designing new modules for a lot of upcoming projects adhering to a lot of software development practices such as code modularity and reuse. This contribution of mine started bringing up a new practice within the team to focus more on design before jumping into implementation.
