Developed a new algorithm to match the spectrum of different materials(Field data). It is also used to classify different materials on the basis of spectrum matching. A GUI is developed to identify material from the test spectrum. A library(Laboratory data) consists of different materials (classes) is used as train data set and a spectrum from the Hyperspectral Image (Pavia U) is used as test data to identify material present in that particular region. This algorithm is compared with Spectral Angle Mapper, Spectral Information Divison, Normalised correlation, Support Vector Machine etc. and it gives better results for some of the classes.
