Mohammad Omar Javed — Data Engineer
I am currently working as a Data Analyst and Power BI Developer, transitioning into a Data Engineering role with a strong focus on Microsoft Fabric. My background in analytics has naturally evolved into data engineering as modern analytics increasingly depends on well-designed data pipelines, scalable data models, and governed semantic layers. With Power BI becoming a core part of the broader data engineering ecosystem, my focus is on building end-to-end data solutions, not just reports. I have hands-on experience designing and implementing ETL workflows, where data is: Extracted from flat files (CSV), semi-structured sources, and databases Transformed: using Python and SQL to handle both small and large datasets Loaded: into structured storage such as SQLite (.db), relational databases, and other database systems, depending on the requirement These curated datasets are then analyzed using ODBC connections, flat files, or DirectQuery, and Live Connection modes based on data volume, latency, and real-time requirements with an emphasis on performance, scalability, and data integrity. On the analytics side, I build analytical and semantic data models, apply DAX for business and financial analysis, and work with different connectivity patterns as part of an enterprise data design. I also implement Dynamic RLS to ensure controlled and secure access to data. Furthermore, I am PL-300 certified and currently 70–80% through the Microsoft Fabric Data Engineering Associate, strengthening my skills in modern data engineering concepts that align analytics, engineering, and governance. My goal is to grow as a Data Engineer, delivering reliable ETL pipelines, scalable data models, and analytics systems that support real business decision-making.
