Worked in Menu/Catalogue micro-service which handles all menu related operations for both customers and restaurant owners (merchants). Its backend is written in Golang and use gRPCs to communicate with other micro-services.
Developed an Image Gallery tool per restaurant for merchants to upload and map images to menu items increasing the order rate of items by ~28% and decreasing the cost of deleting and re-uploading the same images on our cloud storage server.
Debugged and reduced the Authentication API throughput (requests per minute) from ~137K RPM to ~13.5K RPM by removing an unnecessary cache call from the RPC request, which was also being used by other internal services.
