Muskaan Jain — Embedded Systems Engineer
I build dependable embedded systems end to end bare-metal C on STM32 (F407/F401, Cortex-M4) & plus custom PCB and power design. I’m happiest where code meets silicon: registers, timing, buses, interrupts, and real-world constraints. Recent work includes a mains 230 VAC → 5 V DC PSU on my own PCB and practical memory-safety tooling. What I do >>Board bring-up & drivers: GPIO, SysTick, UART/SPI/I²C, EXTI/NVIC, DMA, logic-analyzer & scope driven debugging. >>Architecture & patterns: State / Strategy / Factory / Adapter; clean interfaces, Doxygen docs, reproducible builds. >>Scheduling (no RTOS): preemptive Round-Robin using SysTick (tick/quantum) + PendSV (context switch on PSP), with optional cooperative mode, per-task stacks, and sleep/delay >>Memory focus: basic leak detector (file:line, peak), LIFO stack demos to explain fragmentation, deep dives into MSP/PSP behavior on Cortex-M. >>Power & hardware: 230 VAC → 5 V supply (rectification, filtering, regulation, protection, creepage/clearance basics), layout & validation. Selected work >>FreeRTOS Console for BLE Mesh— Command-line interface for provisioning, configuring, and controlling mesh nodes. >>W25Q64FV SPI NOR-Flash driver — JEDEC ID; page/sector/block ops, WEL/Busy polling, status checks, sector-aware bulk writes (STM32F407VGT6) >>Multitasking/IRQ demo (STM32F407) — SysTick timing, UART, DMA, multiple interrupts, NVIC priorities, LED patterns + button handling >>FlexiStack (C) — flexible, multi-type stack with a clean API and documentation >>AC→DC 230 V → 5 V PSU — rectifier, filtering, regulation, protection; iterated with measurements and safety in mind Exploring next >> Drone power modules (small/medium UAVs): compact, high-efficiency DC-DC, Li-Po ranges, thermal/EMI trade-offs, telemetry hooks. >>Advanced BLE Mesh - models/elements, OLED dashboards >> ESP32 + FreeRTOS/Zephyr, and Linux fundamentals (device tree, driver basics) Tooling VS Code, WSL Ubuntu, Unix C Shell(project), STM32CubeIDE, ESP-IDF, ST-LINK SWD/JTAG,logic analyzer & scope I share learnings under #OSWithMuskaan. Open to full-time roles, project sprints, or collaborations especially where firmware + power/PCB meet to hit the first working prototype fast.
