• Process Scheduler is the brain of any Peoplesoft System. It is the main CPU of the System. Handles various requests from the user in the 3-Tier system and schedules jobs/process/ recurrences etc based on the user’s preference. As this is the central hub and main processing unit – lot of care must be continuously given to ensure that there are no race conditions and jobs & requests from the users are treated with merit and completed successfully
• Oracle PeopleSoft Push Notifications – Process Scheduler

• Push notifications provides real-time notifications through web-sockets based on a subscribe/publish paradigm. Users get notified with real time status of various processes/actions
• in the ERP system. Two kinds of Notifications with respect to the Push Notification in Process Scheduler

• These notifications are very similar to the Facebook notifications.

• This product is mainly responsible for the report distribution of the requests completed via Process Scheduler and which User/ Role should receive the corresponding report. The Report can be generated in various formats including pdf, txt, xls, xml etc. The actual distribution of the report can make use of multiple protocols including HTTP, HTTPS, SFTP , FTP , XCOPY etc.
