• Owned Google's in-product Survey platform used by millions of users on hundreds of Google products. The survey platform was responsible for prompt, collection, storage, and analysis of survey data to measure in-product attitudinal data for CSAT and was also used to run experiments (A/B testing).

• Managed and delivered a cloud application security product from scratch. Drove clarity in Design, Architecture and User experience. Managed scoping, milestone planning and execution.
• Managed delivery of Compliance Score v1 from scratch. Was involved from the beginning, setting up the team, planning deliverables, design, architecture and taking it to public preview within a span of 6 months. The product solves the complex and manual process of compliance management for enterprises.
• Lead the re-architecture of Reporting Platform for Office 365 Information Protection. The platform consumed Terabytes of log data on daily basis, generated by both On-Prem and Cloud based O365 applications (Exchange, Sharepoint, Onedrive) and then ran aggregation and analytics on a Big Data platform to generate actionable insights and reports.

• Developed management plane of a multi-tenant SaaS product (deployed on AWS) in data center security domain. The product involved a kernel level driver to detect security threats on server workloads and a Cloud based management plane which consumed these alerts and correlated it with data from other sources which allowed users to take corrective actions.
• Involved from scratch, starting with Proof Of Concepts, design, development, testing, deployment and then performance optimisation. Delivered the controller which captured alarms from all server machines in the data center and sent them across in batches to Cloud based management plane.

• Worked with Oracle’s Public Cloud (PaaS) platform development team as a Principal MTS. This was Oracle’s PaaS offering, competing with the likes of Heroku and AWS. The major USP being the option of having the VMs pre-installed and configured with Oracle’s other major offerings like Oracle DB, Weblogic Server and Java.

• Lead Software Designer in Market Risk reporting, I drove the performance optimization of its large relational database, including query optimization and partitioning. Took up additional responsibility of Release Management and enforced better processes and controls to ensure production stability.
• As part of Front Office technology team, was involved in reducing the latency of a Fixed Income trading system to enable automated processing of the order.
• As a Team Lead and Technical Architect in Supervisory area successfully led and delivered a time-critical regulatory project. Before we took it up, it was running behind schedule and had serious consistency and performance issues. We turned it around and made first stable delivery within 2 months of taking it over.

• Lead a team which developed mobile applications on J2ME platform for Blackberry touch devices. The mobile platform came with its unique set of challenges in terms of memory footprint, network bandwidth usage and user experience.

• As Senior Associate (Core Java), was involved in design and development, task planning and estimation, review of different components developed, training and mentoring new team members and handling support activity.
• The project required creating various interfaces to act as bridge between the existing (legacy) source of data and a new platform. The interfaces were developed in Java using JMS and SOAP/WebServices.

• Design and development of Core java based distributed back end applications, with extensive use of Collections, RMI, Multi-threading, Hibernate, JDBC, JMS and SOAP . For about an year, worked in Antwerp, Belgium on a telecom product.
• Was deeply involved in training and mentoring new team members as the team grew from 3 people to close to 15. Also came up with idea of and owned an automation test framework that helped reduce the regression test cycle from few days to couple of hours.

• MStudio (Message Studio), started as a proof of concept for a GUI based protocol testing tool. It was a smallish project with just one developer and one lead to begin with. I did most of initial design and development for this. Learnt my early Java and Java Swing skills on this project only.
