  • As part of my internship in Cybersecurity & Ethical Hacking at CODTECH IT SOLUTIONS, I had the opportunity to work on two significant projects focused on security tools development:
  • 1. OOMAP - Port Scanner and Vulnerability Checker:
  • ## Created a comprehensive port scanning and vulnerability checking utility to detect open ports on target servers.
  • ## Integrated service banner retrieval and mock CVE database checks to identify known vulnerabilities.
  • ## Incorporated features for detecting common misconfigurations in services and testing weak credentials to uncover potential security weaknesses.
  • 2. PSC - Password Strength Checker:
  • ## Developed a Python-based tool that evaluates password strength by assessing parameters such as length, complexity (upper/lower case, digits, special characters), uniqueness, and entropy.
  • ## Provided feedback to users on improving weak passwords by offering detailed suggestions for stronger security measures.
