My foray into the automotive world began with signing-on of Steyr-Daimler-Puch (now Magna) from Austria to launch the iconic Hero Puch moped in India. Starting from the shop floor as a Production Manager, I climbed the ranks to eventually take the helm as CEO. During my tenure, we achieved significant success, becoming a leading exporter and earning the prestigious President's Award. Transitioning to Briggs & Stratton, a global leader in outdoor power equipment engines, further honed my skills in manufacturing and international trade. This experience proved invaluable in the years to come. A turning point for the group arrived when I spearheaded a strategic supply chain partnership with BMW. This collaboration paved the way for the birth of Hero Motors, helping us pivot from the moped business and venture deeper into the automotive sector. Later, I led Munjal Kiriu and ZF Hero, focusing on advanced automotive manufacturing technologies like chassis production. This is the journey behind the formulation and growth of the HMC (Hero Motors Company) that we know today. As Chairman of HMC, I’m actively engaged in shaping the company's future with a keen focus on Sales and Business Development. My vision is to make the HMC Valley in India the hub of contract manufacturing for global automotive leaders. I view my extensive career as a foundation for what's to come. With a fire in my belly, I'm determined to redefine the industry through groundbreaking deals and innovative partnerships.
