• The Instituto de Tecnología Química (ITQ) is a joint research centre created in 1990 by the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) and the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC) located at the UPV Campus.
• The ITQ is an international reference centre in the area of catalysis and new materials (specially zeolites) and also in photochemistry. Due to its excellent fundamental and oriented research level and to its multidisciplinary character, the ITQ has the possibility to develop research in different disciplines having an extraordinary flexibility and capability to adapt itself to new research challenges.
• The ITQ has specialized personnel as well as forefront facilities for research development in the field of chemical technology and materials.
• It has more than two hundred researchers from all over the World including CSIC and UPV research professors, tenured scientists, invited professors but also engineers, technicians, administrative staff and finally many post- and pre-doctoral students.
• The research at ITQ is carried out through Regional, National and European funded grants and also through some projects funded by own resources. • I’m an Industrial Engineer with over 15 years of leadership at BBVA, one of the world’s most advanced tech banks. I managed multi-billion-euro P&Ls, led global commercial teams, and experienced firsthand how digital transformation is reshaping business.
• In 2017, after my daughter Kiara was born, I asked myself: What kind of planet are we leaving to our children? That question led me to leave banking and co-found a climate tech startup in 2018.
• In just two years, we achieved €30 million in revenue, worked with clients like Telefónica, Santander, and Danone, and expanded to Europe, Latin America, and Asia. The company moved its HQ to Miami, USA, and became a global leader in climate project marketplaces, with transparency and reliability as core values.
• We closed a €7 million pre-Series A round and planned to raise €13M more to drive global growth and tech innovation. The team grew to over 200 people, and our advisory board included leaders like Juan Verde (former Obama advisor) and Javier Manzanares (ex-Green Climate Fund).
• With 7+ years of entrepreneurial experience, I’ve co-founded two U.S.-based sustainability startups with global impact. My work has been recognized by the United Nations and aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). After reaching key milestones, I exited the company to pursue my deeper mission.
• I share content on AI, Web 6.0, and sustainable innovation, generating 40M+ annual views. I’ve co-authored with Vint Cerf, Peter Fingar, and Kiran Garimella, and I lecture in master’s programs at top universities.
