About

I'm a backend and applied AI engineer. My current work is at Heritage Tile, where I'm the only engineer and the recent stuff I'm proudest of is an AI inventory system I built using MCP and the Anthropic Claude API. It pulls live data from our ERP and recommends monthly purchase orders, with a human approving every one before it goes out. The same role has me building a suite of design apps in HTML, JavaScript, and Python for the Make-to-Order line, a Trimble SketchUp integration that lets AI generate mockups using the company's actual historic design catalog, and the backend that keeps nine e-commerce sites running. Before this I was at Careyou Pharmacy on HIPAA-compliant backend systems in Java and Spring Boot on AWS. On the side I built Yogifi AI, a real-time pose detection platform running at 30 FPS with 120ms p99 latency on 50,000+ training samples, and PharmaDrive, a HIPAA-compliant pharmacy delivery SaaS integrated with PioneerRx. The work I keep coming back to sits between backend engineering and applied AI. I like taking real operational problems and turning them into systems a team trusts in production, more than I like building demos.
