Built backend for Package Management feature at Qubole , which created a user defined environment on each of the Qubole cluster nodes and kept the environment in sync so that distributed application like Apache Spark Jobs could use that environment. This was a distributed server application which ran in coordinator and worker modes, developed using Scala, and had the potential to do many more cluster management operations.
Since I was part of Spark team in Qubole, I also released Apache Spark patches for Qubole with fixes and feature additions pertaining to Qubole requirements. This requires understanding of internal workings of open source Apache Spark's distributed data processing engine
