About

I am a senior data leader with 11+ years of experience spanning data engineering, analytics, BI, and product analytics — leading teams and building platforms across India, the UK, and Europe. My career combines director-level leadership in India’s fastest-growing tech companies with hands-on technical depth gained in world-class SaaS environments. Leadership at scale: As Principal Product Owner at Blinkit, I built and led the company’s central BI engineering team from scratch, managed 12+ engineers/analysts, and drove platform initiatives (data warehouse, catalog, tracking frameworks) that enabled 8–10% revenue growth, 40% reduction in manual support, and 30% cost savings in replication. Technical excellence: At Intercom in London, I led the migration of 200+ data models from Redshift to Snowflake, implemented dbt across the analytics org, and built consistent data modeling standards. I chose Intercom for its culture of engineering excellence and came away with best practices that I now apply in scaling teams. Zero-to-one execution: As Head of Data at Stage (India OTT), I rebuilt the analytics stack (Snowflake, Rudderstack, dbt), fixed critical data quality issues (50%+ over-reporting, 10% subscription errors), and delivered insights that improved content completion by 15–20% and reduced performance marketing spend by ~30%. Scaling SaaS: As consultant at Fabric (Paris SaaS), I rebuilt revenue reporting (supporting fundraising + US expansion), built a customer health platform improving onboarding by 30%, and designed GDPR++ compliant analytics pipelines. Technical stack: Deep experience with Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Rudderstack, Tableau, AWS, BigQuery, Postgres, Python, and modern data modeling practices (Kimball, event-driven analytics). Team building: Recruited and coached high-performing teams (up to 12+ people), set up agile rituals, and created career ladders to institutionalize sustainable data delivery. Curiosity & innovation: Builder of open-source and side projects including an AI-powered RAG data analyst for dbt users, plus SaaS tools like Pushbyte.io and Teamjet. Now seeking senior leadership roles — Senior Staff / Principal / Senior EM / Director Data Engineering — in global tech companies in India, where I can bring together my leadership experience, technical depth, and record of delivering measurable business impact.

Head of Analytics Engineering & Enablement (Senior Product Manager)

Dec 2019Dec 2021 · 2 yrs

  • I joined Blinkit with the official title of "Data Product Manager".
  • When I started, Blinkit already had a great data engineering team and solid infrastructure - but the challenge was making data truly usable across business functions. I basically built the analytics engineering function from scratch, productizing and standardizing the analytics layer so that teams like marketing, supply chain, finance, and leadership could all rely on consistent, high-quality data for decision-making.
  • I set up strong engineering practices (testing, CI/CD, taxonomy standards, PII protection, access control), introduced agile product development to data (demo days, retros, evangelization), and built a high-performing team with great retention and growth.
  • The result was a huge leap in how Blinkit leveraged data across the board.

Pixpa

Frontend Engineer

Feb 2014Sep 2014 · 7 mos · New Delhi

  • Pixpa is a software platform that allows photographers and other creative professionals to publish their portfolios online. I joined Pixpa in February 2014 to work on overhauling the frontend design and tech architecture.
  • At the time, Pixpa had been using a simple jQuery based frontend which had become a bottleneck preventing future development. I implemented a new architecture, introducing a completely new stack of modern tools and began the process of changing the product from the inside-out. Because of the lean nature of our team, it was important to build a framework that was modular and allowed Pixpa to be re-vamped one part at a time, without disturbing the functionality of the rest of the application.
  • Over these six months, I pushed a completely new framework which not only introduced a fresh design language, but was extensible and made way for future development processes. The framework worked in parallel with the old code base and the user could seamlessly transition from parts of the app that used the old code base to modules that used the new one.
  • The tech stack I used for the new framework was based on:
  • AngularJS
  • SASS
  • Bourbon and Neat frameworks for SASS
  • PHP/jQuery for interaction with older parts of the application.
