• Led a team of ~30 engineers responsible for control plane infrastructure supporting audio- video calls across Meta apps (Facebook, Messenger, Instagram), powering 1B+ calls monthly and improving call quality metrics (call start success rate and latency).
• Collaborated with product management, technical program management, and data science leadership to establish and drive call quality improvement programs.
• Delivered critical projects, including using dedicated servers for signaling and edge-deployed media servers, significantly reducing mouth-to-ear latency and dropped calls.
• Call quality program achieved a global daily talk-time increase of 0.2%, reduction in call-start failure rates by approximately 2%, contributing positively to Facebook's daily active user attribution.

• In this role, I supported geographically distributed engineering teams based in Germany and Redmond. We shipped an open source platform (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/industrial-iot/) that powers solution accelerators built by many ISVs and large manufacturing companies. The team tackled a bold mission to reduce the time from machine connectivity to data insights to increase Operational Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) from weeks to days.
• Directed Azure IoT's partnership with PTC to deliver a fully managed SaaS solution for Industrial assets management, helped achieve General Availability of an open-source platform developed by my team.
• Built and scaled a high-performing team from ground up in Redmond and built rapport with an inherited team in Munich, fostering expertise in managing customer escalations, training partners, and establishing structured processes to support product launches with global manufacturers.
• Redefined charters for both the Munich and Redmond sites to optimize cross-site collaboration and successfully shifted the organizational focus to a culture of proactive quality assurance, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.

• Built and led a team of 14+ engineers as 1 of the first hires, launching supervised ML models across 10+ local search markets (reducing duplicate results from 20% to 5% in India market), designing a labeling tool that cut human labeling costs by ~10% , and securing leadership buy-in for a 2-year technical roadmap through partnerships with the US team.

Filed a patent for "Hybrid Lease for Primary Election”, introducing a mechanism for high-availability and fault-tolerant distributed lease management for primary election.
• Revitalized the AppEngine Memcache remote team, improving organizational health and customer satisfaction driving a reliability pivot. Turned around Snapchat’s customer sentiment with this service.
• Incubated an internal control plane platform to accelerate SaaS product deployment on GCP, successfully transitioning ownership to another organization.
• Managed the shutdown of the Managed Elasticsearch team following an executive pivot, ensuring smooth transitions for affected engineers, demonstrating leadership during strategic shifts.
