• We worked with graph-based enumeration methods to efficiently search the exponentially large space of all equivalent query plans in a cost and rule based database query optimizer. We are also looked at different heuristics for search prioritization using an incremental search algorithm along with branch and bound pruning of the search space to improve upon the Depth First Search approach used in the Volcano and Cascades Frameworks.
