Experienced software engineer with a proven track record in breaking things. I love learning new things and always keeping up to date with the latest technologies. My primary interests include Software Architecture, System Design, Distributed Systems and Cloud Computing. In my career so far, I've had the opportunity to work in both small-scale startups like COERA and in large-scale companies like Amazon. Regardless of the scale, I always prioritised being part of the entire development lifecycle, including the design and requirements gathering stages (writing design documents, conducting customer review meetings, etc.). My experience in Prime Video taught me how to approach designing systems at scale, design and implement cloud-native applications (AWS-based) and build and track metrics to ensure we deliver the best experience to our customers. Outside of work I enjoy travelling, finance and living a healthy lifestyle (eating well, macro tracking, gym, etc.). I am very passionate about taking on new challenges, be it relocating to other countries, learning a new domain, or just reading one more book this month.

Owned the delivery of the release CI/CD pipeline for Prime Video iOS. Independently designed and planned the project. Mentored and worked side by side with a junior engineer on the implementation.
Created a beta program for the Prime Video iOS team (up to 10k external customers to test the beta app). This was a joint project with another engineer.
Improved release automation from 17% to 90%, driving a 53% release time reduction (we can now release 2x more than before). I was the owner/lead of this project, working together with 2 other engineers.

Developed a React-based internal Amazon website only accessible to Amazon employees. The authentication was provided using an internal authorization server based on LDAP accounts and OTP as a second factor. The website was deployed using AWS components (CloudFront, S3, Route53, Lambda@Edge interceptors, etc.) defined using CDK (Cloud Development Kit).
Was part of the entire development lifecycle, from writing design documents and conducting customer reviews to development, building the CD (Continuous Deployment) pipeline, testing (unit and integration using Selenium) and finally writing the documentation and providing a runbook for the customers to use.

During my 4-month internship, I developed a serverless (AWS Lambda) Java-based command-line application for automating operational tasks across my team. The application was deployed in multiple AWS regions by means of a continuous deployment pipeline. All the infrastructure needed to run the application was created using CloudFormation (infrastructure-as-code).
This internship provided me with the chance to experiment with AWS (SQS, Lambda, ECS, S3, ElastiCache, DynamoDB, Athena, QuickSight, CloudWatch, etc.) and implement a production-ready application from scratch using a test-driven development approach (including e2e tests running directly in AWS by means of a lambda function).
