• I primarily work on the payment hosted page for digital payments in Amazon. If you've paid for a Kindle e-book or an app on Amazon, you've seen that page!
• Improvement: Created a tampermonkey script to display traffic and client-wise breakdown data for digital payments platform. Reduces time to collect data by 99.9%
• Multi-factor authentication for constrained devices: Implemented a solution for devices without browser-redirection capabilities to render a UI for customers to complete their MFA for payments. Learnt secret key management, ingress and egress encryption and contributed to partner team's codebase. Delivered in a short span of 3 months. Refactored the integration tests to be more extensible.
• UI technology migration: Re-implemented the HTML/JS based payments frontend from scratch in ReactJS as part of a modernization initiative. Sucessfully completed analysis, proof-of-concept, integration with Spring MVC and launch in a 6-month period
• Support for SSR frontend in hosted page: Integrated the upcoming modern payment experience based on React native in the Spring MVC payments-hosted page.
• Checkout payment art: Added payment art for the Amazon checkout page. This requires changes in the highly controlled and latency sensitive Checkout page. Completed integration across two different codebases and completed experimentation phase.
• Support for Japan Multi-factor auth: Owning required integration for enabling Multi-factor auth in JP as part of the upcoming 2025 compliance requirement. Working on integrating with widgets that enable MFA in the hosted page and enabling exemption for constrained devices that cannot do MFA.
• 120+ interviews conducted covering problem solving and coding and data structures & algorithms basics.

• I worked on FireOS (a fork of Android) and two re-implementations of FireOS for different platforms
• Modernized legacy applications: Led a team to prevent impact to 127 FireOS6 apps during migration to FireOS7 by using cloud-based configuration to dynamically skip FireOS framework workflows that would break during migration. This ensured customer obsession as we migrate.
• From-scratch full-featured CI/CD pipeline setup: Setup an entire CI/CD pipeline from scratch for FireOS new SDK, using Jenkins, artifactory, git server, continuous deployment to S3-backed storage, with automated library versioning and triggers for dependency changes. This increased developer productivity by 50%
• Reference application setup for new platform: For the new FireOS platform, analyzed API offerings and generated the initial developer-facing reference applications that uses a Dockerized application. With this, client developers' productivity improve by 30% due to reference applications. My analysis helped internal devs onboard faster by 50%.
• Bringup new FireOS platform: Dived deep on FireOS platform and adapted emulator to run on a cloud-based architecture. Co-ordinated with external technology provider and setup standard operations checklist for testing team. Delivered time savings of 60% or more on recurring issues. Solved initial platform issues thus resolving ambiguity on whether the approach is viable.
• Test-triage automation: Automated triaging of issues for new FireOS platform using analysis of known log patterns. Delivered a continuous 2X productivity improvement for test associates

• I was part of the FireOS framework team, working on maintaining our framework which is a fork of Android.
• Projects:
• 60% reduction in setup time using automation: FireOS is a complex project with a multi-step setup process, I volunteered to automate this using a script that brought down setup time from around 1-2 days to ~5 hours.
• Prevent sniffing of FireOS logs: Worked on a project to change core framework to restrict access to apps from programatically reading the logcat buffer in FireOS.
• New metrics module: Brainstormed on technical implementation and added metrics for the Picture-in-Picture feature on Fire tablets, which became the standard for emitting metrics for other functionalities.
• Experimental FireOS feature: Worked on an experimental (now shelved) feature to increase FireOS storage space using Linux CGroups. Deep dived on linux memory and storage internals and sucessfully delivered design and working Proof-of-concept
• Learning sessions: Took sessions on Python and Docker and felicitated learning sessions both in my team as well as across DeviceOS Chennai.
