• Worked under Prof. Amitava Das on understanding the process of radicalization by various extremist groups around the world through social media platforms and predicting whether a user is vulnerable or not.
• The dataset had been built from scratch and 70 primary nodes have been identified and manually annotated to see how lethal and influential they are.
• These 70 targets were then used to get 204 million more data points from their first and second hop network and predict user vulnerablility depending on a number of network dynamics measures.
• Classified users as radical, vulnerable and inert by performing social network analysis and content based analysis based on custom formula to calculate lethality score.
• Built a Naive Bayes classifier with an accuracy of 79%, while the SVM gave a lesser accuracy to identify radicals and vulnerable people on Twitter.
• Presented works at 2 major conferences - AI Workshop at IIIT-Hyderabad and IC2S2 2019.
