About

Rahul is a seasoned global leader in public health and digital transformation, currently serving in a senior leadership role at Resolve to Save Lives, a US-based nonprofit focused on preventing epidemics and saving lives from cardiovascular diseases. With over 11 years in the social impact sector and nearly three decades of overall experience, Rahul specializes in leveraging digital technologies to drive large-scale, sustainable change in global health and development. Previously, Rahul was the Deputy Director and Country Leader for Digital Initiatives at the Gates Foundation in India. From 2013 to 2021, while at Gates, he spearheaded transformative digital health programs, scaling digital public goods (DPGs) and managing key relationships across funding, partnerships, and government collaborations. His deep understanding of the global NGO ecosystem and digital health has enabled him to create impactful strategies that bridge technology and public health. Before transitioning to the social sector, Rahul spent 16 years in technology and management consulting with PwC, KPMG, Wipro, and EY. He held leadership roles across India, the Middle East, and Australia, building new practice areas, expanding teams, and driving growth in sectors such as education, healthcare, governance, and rural development. His experience in eGovernance programs in India gave him unique insights into designing and implementing citizen-centric services. In 2013, Rahul shifted his focus from traditional business KPIs like revenue and margins to more meaningful goals in social impact, joining the Gates Foundation to tackle critical global challenges like maternal and infant mortality, TB, and malnutrition. Today, he continues to channel his expertise in digital innovation to advance public health, with a focus on strengthening digital public infrastructure (DPI) and Primary Health Care systems for long-term impact.
