1.Big Data Analytics using Spectrum scale file system( Transparency connector) :
This project involved integrating IBM GPFS(General Parallel File System) to existing hadoop cluster using Apache ambari Framework. This project aimed at providing a alternative to the existing HDFS filesystem to a more fault tolerant and POSIX compliant file system. We also integrated IBM Big Insights IOP along with GPFS file system in Apache Ambari.
2. IBM Platform Load sharing Facility(LSF) Product on Softlayer Cloud:
IBM Platform LSF is a powerful workload management platform for demanding, distributed mission-critical High Performance Computing (HPC) environments. It provides a comprehensive set of intelligent, policy-driven scheduling features so that you can use all of your compute infrastructure resources and help ensure optimal application performance. IBM Platform LSF manages batch workloads. It allows a distributed compute network to function as a large supercomputer by matching supply with demand. It intelligently distributes the right jobs to theright resources, optimizing resource utilization and minimizing waste. It makes multiple computing resources appear to users as a single system image, and it load-balances across shared computing resources.
3. Hadoop Cluster on Softlayer as Cloud offering:
Hadoop is a highly scalable storage and batch data processing system that functions as one of the NoSQL Database Software solutions offered by SoftLayer. It is most commonly used for processing large [TeraByte (TB) to PetaByte (PB)] data sets.thorough this sytem the custer can easily craete a cluster on premises cloud, so he can add any number of worker node as per the requirement and he can also remove easily.
