• Opaque is a leading company in confidential computing for (generative) AI, leveraging my group's research at UC Berkeley. I served as President from Jan 2021 until Dec 2024.

• I am specializing in computer security, privacy, and applied cryptography. I co-founded and co-direct two large research labs RISELab (2016–2022) -> SkyLab (2022–present), focused on building secure and intelligent systems. SkyLab develops an end-to-end generative AI systems stack integrating systems, AI, and security research. I direct the security efforts within the lab.
