I am a passionate engineer turned entrepreneur with a vision to scale the financial services sector for better outreach with high customer-centricity and innovative technology. As the world gravitates toward rapid digital transformation, I am pushing boundaries for high inclusion under the banking umbrella and to promote exceptional brand loyalty. I co-founded Hyperface, a tech initiative to simplify credit card issuance to a broader target group with superior technology by collaborating with Scheduled Commercial Banks, Fintech, and E-commerce. Previously, I founded Juspay, which provides a seamless payment experience to end users and easily blends with multiple apps. As a Senior Software Engineer at BankBazaar.com, I was the first to join their technical team and build a significant part of their three-tier web stack. I also created and led the development of their stock portal built in association with MSN. At Amazon.com, I was involved in exciting projects as I led a team of professionals to acquire digital books and make them available for users. I also built a robust workflow system for ClickRiver, an ad network for displaying ads on Amazon, and was responsible for tracking business metrics. Machine Learning and its applications are a significant part of my learning journey. As the first member of the technology team, I created most part of the three-tier web stack. Created the internal customer service dashboard. Created and continue to lead the development of our stock portal http://msn.bankbazaar.com (built in association with MSN India).
  • 1. The website is powered by struts/spring/hibernate. JQuery is used for UI functionalities and AJAX orchestration.
  • 2. For the internal dashboard, Grails/Groovy was used which led to faster release cycles.
  • 3. The stock portal was built using LAMP and Memcache.

  • Clickriver.com was an ad network for displaying ads on Amazon.com. It is the equivalent of Google's adwords program.
  • Initially, I was refining the machine learning systems that automatically identified bad advertisers.
  • The policing system assures the quality of advertisers who sign up with Clickriver with regard to the range of guidelines specified by the network. It was a part automated and part manual solution. And the challenge was to build a robust workflow system. I redesigned the architecture of this policing system to make it highly generic and at the same time extremely decoupled so that individual components of the system could be re-used.
  • I was also mainly involved in generating business metrics for this policing system.

  • Worked as a summer intern for Amazon India Development Center. It was the early stages of Clickriver.com and the work was extremely enjoyable. We had to build things from scratch. My work involved creating web services infrastructure to enable decoupled communication between the systems developed from India and Palo Alto. I also built a prototype for automatic document classification using Weka, with the underlying algorithm being Bayesian Learning.
