• As an AWS Reinvent speaker, I represented these use cases, showcasing the service's capabilities. Contributed to significant performance and scalability enhancements for AWS DMS, including a key achievement of a 300% improvement in Redshift migration, which now powers 70% of AWS’s database migration workload, establishing the service as a leader in the market.

• As one of the first five members of the team, I was instrumental in launching the service, simplifying the deployment, operation, and scaling of Elasticsearch in the AWS Cloud for log/stream analytics and real-time monitoring. The team has now grown to over 500 members.
• Architected a framework supporting multiple backend engines with selective activation of engine binaries based on customer needs, reducing new engine release timelines from 3-5 months to just a few weeks. Helped scale Amazon Elasticsearch Service from 10,000 to 1 million cluster workloads, ensuring the service met growing demand.

• I was core member of Caching solution provided as part of IBM Elastic Storage. This solution allows Cloud sites for disaster recovery, remote caching, and backup purpose. It uses NFS as backend and masks wide area network (WAN) latencies and outages to cache massive data sets, allowing data access and modifications even when the remote storage site is unavailable.
• End-end responsibility for Parallel IO feature which allows parallelization during transfer of data across multiple cloud sites. (4 Patents on its design)
• Design and Delivery of non-blocking resync utility to sync data during reconnect after long disconnection.

• I was working on design of Embedded Database Engine in Managed layer
• This was research project in SQL team of Microsoft to implement embedded (in-process) database completely in the Microsoft managed (CLR) layer. I was working in storage engine component to study various parameters that can affect performance of database engine in managed layer and tune them for optimal performance. Designed performance framework that helped to identify performance bottlenecks. Fixes in metadata, lock, buffer-pool modules gave more than 10-20% improvement in the storage engine performance.

• I was working with Prof. Rajat Moona (currently Director General, C-DAC) in Object based storage device (OSD) technology for my thesis research. OSD technology built on top of SAN provides solution to problems of security and scalability associated with the block level storage. Designed and implemented high performance OSD system which consists of implementation of OSD client, manager and target side components. Intelligent prefetching techniques were used for efficiency. Following were the contributions as part of the thesis work.
