• Creator of M3DB and technical lead for the metrics infrastructure platform M3. The platform collects tens of millions of datapoints per second per region and serves realtime alerts, dashboards, anomaly detection, application and server system performance insights. I began M3DB development with a small team, we wrote the distributed TSDB in open source and you can find the development history there. M3DB and the various M3 open source components were based on our hands on experience and research with distributed column storage DBs and clustered reverse indexes we were using at the time for metrics timeseries storage.

• Joined as an engineer on marketplace helping rebuild dispatch services that were the backend for the lifecycle of a trip to accommodate the next level of scale. Then moved on to work on the infrastructure that made developing and operating those services possible at scale reliably (chaos engineering infrastructure, then metrics infrastructure).
