• Core member of the Platform team responsible for Adevinta’s global Data & Analytics ingestion, legacy eBay Classified Ads global analytics pipelines, analytics platform components, and streaming data solutions.
• Some of my key achievements and contributions:
• 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗽 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: Led the initiative to automatically disable unused streaming data integrations, reducing overall platform traffic from deprecated pipelines by 𝟯𝟬%.
• 𝗖𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗢𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘃𝗶𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻: led compression improvements in the S3 staging area, reducing storage usage from ~142 TB/day to ~40 TB/day (𝟳𝟮% 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻), resulting in 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝟱𝟬% 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀, amounting to several thousands of dollars monthly in storage costs.
• 𝗞𝗹𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝘇𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺: Currently building a streaming data platform for Kleinanzeigen, developing custom 𝗞𝗮𝗳𝗸𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗽𝗹𝘂𝗴𝗶𝗻𝘀 and 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘀 pipelines, focusing on scalability, flexibility, and real-time processing.

• Dual role contributing to both the Data & Privacy Enablers team and Data Ingestion & Routing team (in charge of ingesting, routing and dispatching more than 2 Billion events per day).

• 𝗣𝗶𝗽𝗲𝘀 – 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺: Led the RFC, MVP, and core development of 𝗣𝗶𝗽𝗲𝘀, a multi-tenant streaming application purely based on Kafka. Designed to decouple state from runtime via a modular, pluggable architecture. Replaced a fragmented infrastructure (YAML configs, GitOps, legacy APIs) with a unified API/UI, now backing 𝟮,𝟬𝟬𝟬+ 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 and processing 𝟮𝟰+ 𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀/𝗱𝗮𝘆.
• 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Reduced 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗗𝗼𝗴-based Data Quality monitoring costs by 𝟯𝟬% by implementing a custom client and aggregator that pruned high-cardinality tags.
• 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀-𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗘𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: Drove the adoption of central platform products across various Adevinta brands.

• 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗝𝗼𝗯 𝗢𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Co-led the optimization of privacy data takeout jobs, increasing throughput from 𝟭𝟬𝗞 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘀/𝗱𝗮𝘆 to processing 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗱𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 (>30K request), with only 𝟭𝟬% 𝗖𝗣𝗨 𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲.
• 𝗘𝗠𝗥 𝘁𝗼 𝗞𝘂𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗠𝗶𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Migrated multiple legacy jobs from an internal EMR system to a Kubernetes-based setup, and led workshops to unblock other teams during their migration process.
• 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸𝘀: Advocated and implemented real-time data quality monitoring across Kafka streams; facilitated over 𝟮𝟬 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽𝘀 and helped develop 𝗵𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀 to improve time-to-data-recovery.
• 𝗞𝗮𝗳𝗸𝗮 𝗧𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗰 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿: Designed and delivered an 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗣𝗜 Topic Inspector to simplify Kafka topic inspection, saving data analysts significant debugging time and eliminating reliance on low-level tools like kafkacat or Avro knowledge. Later drove the 𝗥𝗙𝗖 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗨𝗜 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, collaborating with frontend teams to build a user-friendly interface and eliminate the need for manual tools.
