Saanvi Shukla — Co-Founder
As a penultimate-year Computer Science student at HKUST, I find myself driven by an insatiable curiosity about technology and its potential to create meaningful change. My journey has been marked by exciting experiences, from interning at industry leaders like Tech Mahindra and Tata Steel to conducting research at the University of Cambridge on blockchain applications for urban sustainability. Each step has taught me something new about the intersection of technology and real-world challenges. Currently, I'm channelling my energy into two main projects: building my own startup while simultaneously supporting Stoodive’s growth. This dual focus not only allows me to apply what I’ve learned but also fuels my passion for innovation. The thrill of creating something from scratch is unmatched; it keeps me motivated every day. Balancing these ventures alongside my studies has been challenging yet incredibly rewarding. I’m fortunate to have received scholarships from AS Watson and HKAUW, which reflect not just academic achievement but also my commitment to continuous improvement. These experiences have underscored the importance of community and collaboration values that I cherish deeply. I believe that great ideas often come from diverse perspectives working together towards common goals. I also take great pride in having spoken twice as a TEDx speaker, sharing ideas that inspire others to think differently about technology and purpose. In addition to my academic pursuits, I’ve taken on roles as a UG Teaching Assistant and mentor at HKUST. These positions have allowed me to share knowledge while learning from others’ insights—something I find invaluable as I grow both personally and professionally.
