Sakshi Goyal — Software Engineer

I am an IIT Roorkee graduate in Electronics and Communication Engineering with minors in Computer Science currently working in Adobe Systems as a Software Development Engineer 2. My core strengths are hard work, public speaking, perseverance, and leadership. I have done various projects based on Deep Learning in my college and professional life. At Big Data Experience Lab, Adobe Research, Bengaluru I worked as a research intern on the problem statement “How to Incorporate Human Domain Knowledge in Generative Models?” which was a part of the problem area “Learning to Generate: Synthetic Data Generation”. The internship project enhanced my interest in generative models and I decided to continue my research in the field by taking my B.Tech. Project (BTP) in this field which was titled “Steganography using generative models”. I have done courses such as Probability and Statistics, Machine Learning, and Linear Algebra as part of my college curriculum and the course of CS231n: Convolutional Neural Networks for Visual Recognition (Stanford University) and Andrew Ng’s course on Machine Learning on Coursera due to my interest in the field. I have also worked on various machine learning-based projects such as an Obstacle Classification module for a “Self Driving Car”, a “Health Bot” that answers questions related to HIV/AIDS, and “Lip reading” which involves decoding text from the movement of a speaker’s mouth. I mentored a group of five students for a project "Text to Narrate Film" and two students for a project "Gaze Player". The projects were successfully completed and were displayed in an annual exhibition of IITR. I have participated in various competitions and worked with different teams which improved my teamwork skills. I have been awarded the “IITR Heritage Excellence Award” for three consecutive years for outstanding academic and extra-curricular achievements. I have been awarded the Durga Award for excellence on the basis of overall performance for a graduating Under Graduate girl student. I (in a team of four) have received a silver medal for 6th InterIITTechMeet 2018 and a bronze medal in Microsoft code.fun.do in a team of three people. My tech stack includes Python, C++, Keras, Tensorflow, Pytorch, Data Structures and Algorithms, ML and DL.
