• Worked as part of the centralized transaction screening team, managing rules designed to ensure that customer transactions are correctly screened. Coordinating with Risk teams to understand requirements of these rules, and possible operational and compliance risks. Additionally carrying out audit-based testing to ensure that our IT procedures are robust.
• Key Deliverables:
• Designing, implementing and testing new rules for screening of payments upon request from Risk and Compliance teams
• Designing new rules for decision reapplication (re-applying previously made decisions) and stripping detection features (ensuring that all types of characters are readable by the software) of FMF (Firco-Multi-Filter)
• Documenting functional description of key concepts implemented in the transaction screening rules file
• Designing XML mappers for readability in FMF for converting SEPA transactions into FUF messages, ensuring that the messages are compatible with the screening software
• Investigating the impact of different algorithm configurations for transaction screening using Fircosoft Multi Filter (FMF)
• Ensuring the correct alerts are generated against Swift Sanctions, and where these alerts are missing, investigating the underlying problem and delivering possible technical solutions

• I am responsible for looking at the existing processes for different service lines, identifying where inefficiencies exist, and ensuring that the right teams are managing different stages of any process. Additionally, I supported the implementation (business side) of a CRM platform by managing testing and coordinating with their IT department for any fixes required.
• Project & Stakeholder Management – managing various projects in a start-up environment, liaising with different teams to understand pain points and prioritise key issues that significantly affects the work environment.
• Change Process Design – understanding and documenting existing processes through communication with many different service lines. Identifying the gaps and proposing feasible solutions which can bridge the gap and improve efficiencies in the start-up organisation.

• I was with Santander’s Corporate and Commercial Bank, where I worked on projects related to the data quality for SCCB and ensuring our data is accurate and meets all regulatory and reporting requirements for the bank. The main driver for these projects relate to the regulation for all banks in the UK: Banking Reform. I have developed many skills during my time here.

• Project & Stakeholder Management – managing various projects for the bank, liaising with different teams such as project sponsors, risk, finance and IT to carry out the project through the project lifecycle. Ensuring all changes to the bank are compliant for risk, finance and various other areas of the business
• Change Process Design – mapping out current processes within the bank, identifying gaps and developing proposals for changes to existing processes to make operational activities more cost-effective and efficient
• Controls & Governance Reporting – Designing a governance and controls framework to monitor current data quality in the bank and progress for data quality improvements throughout the project lifecycle and upon completion of the project.
• Requirements Gathering and Documentation – Putting together documents describing business requirements for various different projects in order for IT to translate this into technical requirements.
• Main Projects:
• Salesforce - implementing a new customer relationship management (CRM) platform (Salesforce) to improve customer service for SCCB customers with their respective Relationship Directors/Relationship Managers.
• The Banking Reform - BDP as a Master Source of Data - creating the main Santander database as a master source of data by ensuring feeds from the numerous different systems at Santander accurately transfer information to this database.

• I worked within IT Engagement for Collections and Recoveries. As part of this department, we were in the process of launching a new software and I was involved in supporting the testing phase of this project. I helped coordinate any issues raised between the testers and our programers.
• I worked within Service Delivery for Data Management. My main role in this team was to manage data in Santander systems and ensure data completeness and quality of data. Here, I coordinated with our consultants, Accenture to ensure good quality of data and raised issues when problems were identified during certifications.

This centre has students coming to them after a long day of school and provides them with a quiet and encouraging environment for students to study and complete their work in. As an academic support mentor, I meet these children weekly and make sure that they are comfortable with the work they complete. Our main goal is to encourage these students to believe that university is a potential future. This is commonly done through many encouraging words we as mentors use to develop self-esteem and confidence within these children.
