I am currently working as Associate Manager - Data Science/AI at Zydus Group. Previously I worked as Manager - AI/Speech Recognition at Jio Platforms Limited, where I lead the development and deployment of the "Hello Jio Voice Assistant," a cutting-edge speech recognition product for various Jio devices, including set-top boxes, mobile phones, and automotive systems. My work has resulted in significant cost savings by replacing Microsoft's speech recognition API and developing a speech recognition streaming pipeline that replaced a paid solution from Nvidia. With 7.5+ years of experience in Data Science and AI, I have deep expertise in Python, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Deep Learning. My work spans various domains, including multilingual speech recognition, workflow optimization, and advanced AI solutions. Before my role at Jio, I served as a Senior Data Scientist at Thomson Reuters, where I developed and deployed the "Intelligent Matter Assistant", a Gen-AI Legal Assistant, and other AI models, including a Multilingual Clause Classification model and a Document Classification AI model for legal documents. These models significantly exceeded previous benchmarks and enhanced the efficiency of legal document processing. At Petpooja, I was the Data Science Lead, where I developed India's first speech recognition model for the restaurant domain, a recommendation system for self-ordering kiosks, and a face recognition system for personalized menu recommendations. I also initiated and led the development of the "Invoice by Petpooja" project, where I hired and managed a team to create an Automated Invoice Processing solution, which became a crucial product in the company's portfolio. Outside my professional roles, I have been previously serving as a Data Science & AI Expert for Upgrad and a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for BITS Pilani’s M.Tech Data Science program. In these capacities, I used to conduct webinars and provide career counseling helping shape the next generation of AI professionals.
