• tldr: If you want to know my Rippling experience, I would say this is one of the companies that everyone should experience working at, specifically in the platform team (the bar is high there). I left because of the opportunity I got at this moment that felt like the right option at the moment in the direction where I am heading. • Dependency Tracking is a core system in Unity. Its job is to make sure that all of our customer defined rules (e.g. Supergroups, Workflows, and Formula Fields) are kept up to date (by triggering “refreshes” on the rules) as relevant data changes in our system. e.g. if I have a group defined for all managers, whenever a person becomes a manager, they need to be added to that group.
• While a real time refresh is desired but is not practical and very expensive, teams can define an acceptable consistency delay. This acceptable consistency delay allows DT to perform various optimisations like grouping, deduplication etc. to avoid choking the compute and data infrastructure. This handles millions and millions of events everyday to ensure we keep data/triggers in sync according to the customer defined rule's objective.

• Built the real time leaderboard for the real time quiz product with 1 million DAU
• Built a real-time backend service (https://www.vedantu.com/vquiz) from scratch powering our live quizzes, and handled the backend delivery end to end. Thousands of concurrent traffic come to our platform through youtube.
• Migrated microservices from using Kafka to AWS SQS and simplifying the overall messaging architecture.
• Have good exposure in working with the monitoring systems like, Prometheus, Thanos etc.
• Implemented VPC Peering on new Mongo clusters
• Worked on integrating custom mongo CDC events with Kafka using exactly-once delivery semantics
• Set up autoscaling of our redis clusters (helped us save unnecessary cost during non-peak hours)
• Built a service level rate limiter middleware getting used in two primary backend services saved us from unexpected traffic from the same client.
• Rightsizing our primary backend cluster with the correct autoscaling mechanism and proper use of warm pools helped us reduce ~25% monthly aws bills.
