About

I'm a technology investor and product visionary. As a technology investor, I co-founded Mighty Capital, the VC firm that leverages the Product Alpha Effect, a data-backed framework for outperformance. Honored on the Kauffman Top 30 Index and Power100, invested in pioneering companies like Amplitude (NASDAQ: AMPL), Netskope (NASDAQ:NTSK) and Groq. As a product visionary, my contributions earned me the reputation of “genius at making products people love” during the cloud/mobile era, when I built products that billions of people use at Meta and Siebel Systems, won industry awards and nominations from the Wall Street Journal and the Emmys, and wrote an award-winning bestseller on what makes a great product. My home is in San Francisco. I love my husband and two cats -and bright colors, especially green. I live by three core values: - Respect - Honoring diverse perspectives and contributions. - Grit - Viewing challenges as opportunities for growth. - Adaptability - Embracing change as a catalyst for progress. Raised in an entrepreneurial family in Paris, I earned a master’s in electrical engineering from Centrale-Supelec before moving to Silicon Valley during the dot-com era. With an MBA from Stanford, I spent the first decade of my career as an entrepreneur and product manager. My award-winning bestseller on what makes a great product led to the founding of Products Count, a nonprofit that helps everyone build great products and inspires 1 in 3 product managers globally. I have spoken about the product innovation and investing on platforms like Harvard Business Review, CNBC’s Closing Bell and NPR’s Tech Nation. My journey into venture capital began through the doors opened by this product community, leading me to invest in pioneering companies like Groq, Angle and Canela. I frequently speak about investing trends on global stages like TechCrunch, FII, Collision, TheNextWeb and Fortune's Most Powerful Women Summit. • I teach product management to the executive MBA students.
  • Product Management in the Age of Product
  • Product Management is both an art and a science. It is also an apprenticeship that is constantly evolving. In this course, students will learn from the best practices of the most senior C/VP-level product minds at the most innovative global companies such as Netflix, Amazon, Microsoft and more. The curriculum is focused on first principles and key questions Product Managers should answer: what makes a great product; what makes a great product manager; leading teams, and products. It blends multiple styles of learning, through the combination of lectures, guest speakers and a group project. This course is available to executive MBA students and no pre-requisite is necessary.

Mighty capital

Managing Partner

Jan 2017Present · 9 yrs 4 mos · San Francisco, California

  • Mighty Capital is the VC firm that leverages the Product Alpha Effect, a data-backed way to produce outliers by reading product signals from a 600,000-product-leader network.
  • Founded in 2018 by SC Moatti, a product visionary and former Meta product leader, and Jennifer Vancini, an idea-to-IPO veteran of tech investing, we bring a differentiated edge to venture. Through Moatti’s 600,000-strong Products That Count network of product leaders, we see trends before others do, giving us a proprietary advantage in sourcing, diligence, and post-investment value creation.
  • Our early-stage B2B tech portfolio speaks for itself: 1 in 5 companies is a category leader like Amplitude (NASDAQ:AMPL), Netskope (NASDAQ:NTSK) and Groq. Founders consistently call us the most value-add investor on their cap table, and use our global product ecosystem as a marketplace to accelerate time to revenue, scale, and exit.
  • Anchored by GCM Grosvenor, we’re deploying Fund III with both prior funds in top decile DPI and TVPI, $2B+ in value created for the portfolio, and 6 IPOs to date.

  • Early Stage Investing For Individual Investors
  • What sets successful Silicon Valley investors apart? How do you increase the probability that your early-stage investments generate outsize returns? In this class, I cover critical pre-investment topics including generating deal flow, conducting due diligence and negotiating fairly and effectively, as well as post-investment topics including sound governance, fundraising lifecycle and path to exit.
  • Raising Your Profile: the Board-Ready Executive
  • How do you go from being an expert to becoming an effective board member? Many C-level executives feel under-prepared to adequately answer this question. In this class, I share a surprisingly simple way to increase your visibility for board positions, things to watch out for when choosing a first board seat, and best practices that will make you a thought-after board director.
