About

Data Science & Analytics | Product Engineering | Research I'm a data scientist and product engineer with 8+ years of experience working at the intersection of technology, environment, and development. I am currently a Senior Data Scientist in AECOM's US Advisory team. Through my work, I love channeling my passion for designing, developing, and analyzing people-centric, scalable solutions that aid decision-making for private and public organizations. Previously, I was a graduate researcher at UChicago, where I pursued research in Quantitative Methods & Applied Statistics, GIScience, Computational Social Science, and Economics as a Phoenix Research Scholar. I specialize in the deployment of spatially explicit solutions, leveraging my academic background in Architecture, Urban Planning, and Real Estate (Cornell University, SPA Delhi); research and consulting experience across Business Schools (UChicago Booth School of Business, The Wharton School, Indian School of Business), and a curiosity for applying technologies in non-traditional cultures, communities, and geographies. My work has been recognized and funded by the Harvard Climate Change Solutions Fund, Ernst&Young Institute for Emerging Markets, Clarence Stein Institute of Urban and Landscape Studies, and I have been an affiliate of projects funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Omidyar Network, The International Land and Forest Tenure Facility, and The Knight Foundation. I am always looking forward to connecting with new people. You can reach out to me on LinkedIn or email me at shamil.khedgikar@aecom.com/shamilsk@uchicago.edu.
