About

I specialize in organic B2B content and teach others how to use it as a growth engine. For the past 13 years, I've worked in B2B agencies, B2C media, and SaaS ($2M-$12M). I started as a writer and moved into strategic and consulting roles. This shift helped me develop a perspective that balances storytelling with data. Additionally, it taught me how to attract, engage, and retain customers with the right content. In my most recent role, I was less involved in the execution of work. I was the brain behind strategies that generated demand, captured leads, scaled visibility, and more for a 25-brand portfolio ($100M ARR). I managed budgets and resources, and made sure that content (in whatever capacity) delivered commercial ROI. I've managed and mentored people throughout my career (Si personality type). I lead with empathy and help content marketers achieve their best work. For me, it’s about building teams that thrive, not just hitting targets. Saas.group

Content Marketing Lead

Aug 2022Present · 3 yrs 9 mos

  • Headhunted for role.
  • Then vs. Now:
  • I started at saas.group when there was 7 brands under the saas.group portfolio vs. 25 now [Dec 2025]. We started as a central marketing team of 7 and now we're 19 and over 400 saas.groupies.
  • I have a multifaceted management role:
  • Provide centralized content services to brands with zero in-house resources. In these cases, I develop a strategy for my team [4 of us] and we pool together to execute based on budget and capacity. For brands that have in-house teams, I consult and advise on their existing plans.
  • For context, our brands work with marketing budgets ranging from $20K to $200k per year.
  • Work with an external freelancer database of 30+ freelancers on a monthly basis for our brands. By this I mean, source them, vet them, brief them, edit their work, provide feedback, manage payments, etc. Essentially, their output is my responsibility and their performance needs to meet our objectives.
  • Lead content operations and implement best practices, processes, templates, workflows, etc.
  • Continuously stay ahead of the curve with algorithm updates, AI technologies, etc. that impact us.
  • Work hand-in-hand with the SEO team to ensure our strategies align and complement each other.
  • Constantly track and analyze performance. Responsible for meeting individual brand goals. For example, revenue targets, sign up to customer rates, traffic improvements, format scalability, etc.
  • Create quarterly reports per brand to deep dive into initiatives and discuss feedback/next steps.
  • Proofread and/or edit content daily: blogs, white papers, email sequences, social media copy, etc.
  • Conduct content due diligence on potential companies we want to acquire within the group.
  • Conduct content audits to analyze content condition, performance, etc. to maintain rankings and conversion potential. This process plays a crucial role in our maintenance plans and SoV growth.
  • Provide ongoing career training for direct reports.

Plytix pim

Head of Content Marketing and SEO

Nov 2020Aug 2022 · 1 yr 9 mos

  • Lead all SEO and organic content marketing [inbound] for Plytix PIM.
  • Lead and manage a consistent team of 3 [2 writers and 1 SEO]. Before the team grew, I executed everything myself, from strategy to implementation, ongoing maintenance, website optimization, etc.
  • Prepare content plans for the blog and additional resources [ebooks, case studies, etc.]
  • Prepare in-depth SEO strategies for on-page and technical SEO. When the time came to scale the team, we hired an SEO to assist with outreach and off-page SEO based on my direction and guidance.
  • Conduct regular technical audits to flag technical issues impacting our domain. [For example, 404s, broken links, cannibalization, spammy links, duplicate text, core web vitals, crawlability and indexing issues, redirects, etc. Implement what I can myself or work with engineers on more complex issues.]
  • Track, analyze and prepare regular performance reports. [The most common metrics I reported on were organic MQLs, traffic [clicks], CTR, content engagement or time on page, bounce rate SEO keyword rankings, backlinks and DR growth]. Based on the data, I provided suggestion and next steps.
  • Collaborate with customer service on product-led content and use video to monetize blog content.
  • Assist with copywriting on the website, as well as optimizing pages and providing SEO suggestions.
  • Edit content from other writers and proofread any comms for sales or product.
  • Some achievements to note during my time @ Plytix - with the help of two writers in 2022.
  • 🚀 60% YoY growth in organic blog traffic
  • 🚀 $432,683.40 in ARR
  • 🚀 1116 leads, 610 MQLs, 260 SQLs, 153 opportunities and 48 clients (organic)
  • 🚀 Strongest month = 57 MQLs (organic). This excludes leads to nurture.
  • 🚀 Ranked on the first page of Google for all things PIM
  • Individual achievements:
  • 🚀 Doubled LinkedIn followers in 6-months [3k to 6k]
  • 🚀 DR from 59 to 71
