  • In this project, we aimed to provide a secure authentication and verification mechanism to protect the data being transmitted between IoT devices and cloud servers. To achieve this, we utilized blockchain technology and the Hyperledger Fabric framework, which provided us with a scalable and secure platform for deploying our mechanism.
  • We utilized Docker, a containerization platform, to manage and deploy the Hyperledger Fabric network. The Raft ordering service was used as the root of trust model, and access control was implemented through chain code execution on the two hosts.
  • The chain code and smart contracts were developed using GO and Python programming languages, which provided us with powerful and efficient tools for the development of the mechanism.
  • To ensure the functionality and security of the mechanism, we utilized IoT devices, specifically Raspberry Pi devices, for testing. We also implemented measures to minimize the risk of data distortion in Fog and Edge computing environments using Shell Scripting and other technologies.
  • Overall, our project contributed to the advancement of cloud security and IoT device security by developing a secure authentication and verification mechanism using blockchain technology and other tools. The mechanism ensured the privacy and security of the data being transmitted, contributing to the overall security of cloud servers and IoT devices.
