I was chosen to be in Copeland Scholars as an incoming freshman and have continued to get involved throughout my time in college. I was accepted into the Schey Sales Centre and selected to be a fellow in the Center for Consumer Research and Analytics Program. I have built strong data analytics and marketing skills to help maximize my understanding of consumer behavior and spending. I have a personable demeanor that allows me to quickly put others at ease and encourages open communication. I am naturally curious about people and have developed sharp observational skills. My Business Cluster experience was very rewarding. I was able to bring creative ideas to the team and complete the marketing plan for a new gaming bar/restaurant. My team was able to establish goals, encourage innovation and collaborate successfully. My fellowship in the Center for Consumer Research and Analytics has brought me opportunities to work with real-world clients and expose myself to authentic experiences. My team and I conduct focus groups, interviews and surveys to help learn consumer based information on how to best reach perspective clients. Through a selective process, I was chosen for Student Outreach Coordinator to help spread the work of the center to possible students and present to them the opportunities that follow. I also was a Marketing Communications Coordinator, creating social media posts and videos to advertise the Center.
