During my time at Stony Brook, I worked on a lot of exciting projects on a wide variety of topics like Natural language processing, Machine Learning and Distributed Systems. I also worked on analyzing an interesting open source project by LinkedIn - Pinot; thereby developing an efficient Segment Assignment Strategy for OLAP systems like Pinot at the Performance Analysis of Computer Systems Lab at Stony Brook. Prior to joining Stony Brook, I was working as a Full-Stack Software Developer at Barclays's Barclaycard Division for almost 2 years. Being part of the Contact Center Agent Desktop team, my role was to enhance and build better scalable and resilient applications. I had the opportunity to work with industry-leading tools and technologies while designing and deploying applications where I developed front-end web applications in React JS and backend RESTful web-services using micro-service architecture for effective interaction with the customer database at Barclays. I firmly believe that it is very important to give back to the community. Hence, I have been involved in mentoring and helping underprivileged students and children right since my undergraduate school and have also worked with a lot of non-profits for the same. I am extremely passionate about the possibilities that technology presents for the younger generation and feel a personal responsibility to inspire them to embrace technology. ~ Chase down your dreams and don’t be fearful.
