I’ve spent 16 years building and maintaining large enterprise web applications, primarily in frontend ecosystems. Over time I noticed a recurring pattern — most systems don’t become difficult because of the framework, they become difficult because of early structural decisions. Small shortcuts taken during growth often turn into performance issues, fragile releases, and expensive rewrites months later. My work has largely involved stabilising applications, improving maintainability, and guiding teams toward predictable UI architecture and scalable design practices. Here I share practical observations from real project scenarios — what tends to break as products scale, and how teams can prevent it early.
